This executive-level role will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, supporting business growth initiatives, and providing financial leadership across the organization. This position offers a salary ranging from $200,000 to $220,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional hours as needed to support business operations. Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to oversee all financial operations and provide executive-level financial leadership across the organization. This individual will be responsible for managing accounting, financial planning and analysis, forecasting, compliance, treasury functions, tax matters, audits, and capital management for both the company and its affiliated entities.
As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will work closely with the CEO to drive financial performance, support strategic growth initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure financial strategies align with overall business objectives. Responsibilities and Duties Provide executive leadership over all financial functions, including accounting, compliance, reporting, forecasting, treasury, tax, audits, and financial planning. Lead the development and execution of financial strategy aligned with corporate goals and long-term growth objectives. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning activities across the organization and subsidiaries. Deliver strategic financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support executive decision-making. Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial stability and operational readiness. Evaluate investment opportunities, capital requirements, and financing structures to optimize returns and support growth. Lead financial performance improvement initiatives, including cost optimization, margin enhancement, and operational efficiency efforts. Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, bonding requirements, insurance reporting, and all applicable financial standards. Develop and maintain robust financial forecasting and reporting systems, including rolling forecasts and scenario analysis. Monitor economic, industry, and market trends to assess financial risk and opportunity. Lead capital allocation strategy, including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments. Manage banking relationships, bonding companies, auditors, and external financial partners. Oversee enterprise data governance and ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial information. Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team, including oversight of the Controller and finance leadership staff. Drive talent development, succession planning, and performance management within the finance organization. Serve as a financial advisor to executive leadership on contracts, strategic initiatives, and organizational decisions. Promote a culture of accountability, ethical conduct, and financial stewardship across the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in the construction industry. Strong background in financial planning, forecasting, modeling, and strategic financial management. Extensive knowledge of GAAP construction accounting, tax compliance, insurance, bonding, and financial reporting requirements. Proven experience managing complex financial operations across multiple entities or subsidiaries. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Vista Viewpoint experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and operating office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and reach. Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally.
