full-time About Moceri Management Moceri Management is a highly active, well-established group of real estate management and development companies with a reputation for excellence in our markets. We operate across a complex, multi-entity structure encompassing development, construction, property management, and retail. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team and serve as a trusted financial partner to ownership. The Opportunity This is a rare opportunity for a highly skilled financial executive with deep real estate accounting and tax expertise to step into a pivotal leadership role. The CFO will manage the full financial function of the organization - from technical accounting and tax strategy to treasury management, project finance, and team development - while working directly alongside ownership to shape the company's financial future. What You'll Do Financial Leadership & Reporting Partner with ownership on strategic financial planning, forecasting, and capital allocation across all entities. Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, financial statement preparation, and reporting. Develop and monitor company-wide and project-specific budgets and financial models. Tax Strategy & Compliance Lead all tax planning, strategy, and compliance for a portfolio of partnership holding companies and operating entities. Oversee the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for all entities. Stay current with corporate tax law changes and related compliance requirements. Real Estate & Construction Accounting Implement and manage job costing protocols across active development and construction projects. Manage lender draw processes, loan covenant compliance, and project-level financial reporting. Support due diligence and financial modeling for acquisitions and new development opportunities. Treasury, Risk & Operations Manage all treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity management. Direct the company's insurance program and risk management strategy. Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting and finance team; oversee general office management, HR administration, and technology systems. Other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive leadership capacity. Minimum 7 years of direct experience in real estate development and/or construction accounting - this is a firm requirement. Proven expertise in partnership taxation, multi-entity structures, and real estate-specific tax strategies. Advanced Excel skills and experience building sophisticated financial models and multi-entity forecasts. Familiarity with AppFolio, Buildertrend, and/or QuickBooks preferred. Strong command of GAAP as applied to real estate, construction, and investment entities. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred but not required. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. Technologically savvy with a demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement financial systems and processes.
