CFO - Chief Financial Officer

Our client, a growing engineering services organization based in Greensboro, is seeking an Interim CFO to provide strategic financial leadership, stabilize and optimize finance operations, and support executive decision-making during a critical transition period. This role is fully onsite and will oversee a team of 10-15 finance and accounting professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on financial planning, performance, and growth initiativesLead day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and complianceOversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling; provide actionable insights to drive profitability and cash flow optimizationEvaluate and strengthen internal controls, processes, and reporting infrastructureManage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring alignment with GAAP standardsDrive system optimization and reporting enhancements within NetSuitePartner cross-functionally with operations, project management, and leadership to align financial goals with business objectivesSupport audit readiness, lender reporting, and potential strategic initiatives (e.g., scaling, system upgrades, process automation)Coach and develop a team of 10-15 accounting/finance professionals, ensuring high performance and accountability
