full-time Our client is a global bank. They seek a Director, Financial Control (Banking) to join their Jersey City, NJ office. Responsibilities Partner with the U.S. Controller to support strategic initiatives, governance activities, and key business objectives Coordinate accounting, reporting, and controllership activities across U.S. banking entities and head office stakeholders Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Direct the preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and regulatory reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS Manage internal and external audit relationships, including audit planning, execution, and issue remediation Safeguard the integrity of financial records, internal controls, and compliance frameworks across the organization Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex transactions, new products, and strategic business initiatives Champion finance transformation efforts involving automation, ERP enhancements, analytics, and AI-driven process improvements Cultivate high-performing teams through coaching, succession planning, performance management, and employee development Promote a culture of innovation, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting organizational change initiatives Requirements 8+ years of relevant experience Big 4 or combo experience Banking industry required Experience with consolidations, financial statement preparation, and monthly product accounting Excellent communication skills
