As the senior finance leader to the Consulting line of business (LOB), this role functions as an integral part of the P&L activities, oversees all financial and operational activities, directs preparation of current financial reports and summaries, forecasts for future business growth and general economic outlooks. This role is responsible for assessing and improving the financial performance of the Consulting line of business and driving strategy, analysis, and planning, which includes directing and supervising the efficient operations of all FP&A as necessary; including but not limited to, budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and financial analysis.
Essential Duties:
Financial Management Operations:
Drive the financial performance of the Consulting LOB by providing input about business-critical decisions and strategies. Collaborate with leadership to lead and define strategies and objectives that align with the overall direction of the firm, quantify the value of any opportunities, and assess progress against the Consulting LOB financial goals. Act as a spokesperson for all Consulting LOB financial opportunities and oversee strategic and tactical matters as they relate to the Consulting budget, contract management, technology needs, cost analysis, reporting, forecasting, and M&A activity. Participate in cross-department executive committees and other initiatives as the financial information expert. Presents and tells a story to firm-level executive leaders regarding the financial performance, strategies, and opportunities for all Consulting teams. Use creativity and imagination in creating cost savings ideas and benchmarks those ideas against outside agencies. Manage Operating Expenses at the Enterprise level and take responsibility for forecasting, managing actual versus forecast variances, and ensure the spend in various categories is in line with desired benchmarks.Financial Planning:
Responsible for the validation, integrity, and in-depth comprehension of all financial reporting for Consulting teams. Oversees the presentation of insightful operational analysis and reporting of key performance metrics of on-going results and takes a leadership role to drive top and bottom-line growth. Identifies and utilizes the right data to help leaders see around corners and continue to grow the business with minimal disruption. Understands the story behind the numbers and translates this into forward-looking narratives and forecasts which align with underlying business and market insights. Accountable as member of the Consulting leadership team for forecasting and delivering financial plans that meet targeted revenue and profit goals.Trend Analysis:
Timely and accurate analytics to support actionable and strategic business decisions. Creates ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by senior leaders. Coordinates with the Controller in the preparation of financial period close activities, journal entries and variance analysis.Talent Development and Leadership:
Motivate and develop a high performing global team of finance professionals. Respond positively to changing circumstances, seek and implement change to drive business improvement, serve as a model of change. Drive collaboration and communication throughout the organization and eliminate silo behaviors. Create and maintain an environment to support Consulting financial strategic initiatives. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or Business- Required Administration

CPA, MBA
Finance, or similar degree- Preferred
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
Experience with accounting software, Microsoft products- Required Strong Communication

EXPERIENCE
15+ years related experience- Required Experience in a professional services firm
- Preferred 5+ years managing others

Compensation Range:
$185,100- $327,800 Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
