About the Role Orchard is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to lead our finance organization through the next chapter of profitable growth. As CFO, you'll be a critical member of the leadership team and operating thought partner to CEO Court Cunningham, managing our FP&A, Strategic Finance, and Accounting teams to drive commercially savvy business insight, disciplined budgeting, and accurate forecasting. You'll help build a culture that balances high growth with financial discipline and intelligent risk-taking, while partnering closely with other departments to make them successful. Orchard is approaching profitability in Q4 2026, and we're looking for a CFO who can guide the company into our next chapter of growth. This is a full-time role that will report into the CEO and be based out of our growing New York City office. We are also open to a remote role for candidates who are based in Denver, CO or Austin, TX.
What You'll Do Here:
Manage and develop the FP&A, Strategic Finance, and Accounting teams (8 people) to deliver business insight and rigorous financial analysis Build and sustain a culture of financial discipline that supports both high growth and profitability Foster a culture of intelligent, calculated risk-taking across the organization Partner with other departments and functions to support their success Serve as a champion for Orchard in the market, helping shape workplace culture in line with Orchard's values Lead the company's path toward profitable, sustainable growth. You Have:
At least 10+ years of success in financial leadership roles Systems thinking, with the ability to lead teams through a combination of personal leadership and process discipline An investor's mindset — able to zoom out to the bigger picture and zoom into granular detail, all through a financial lens An entrepreneurial approach — high energy, action-oriented, and effective in scrappy, fast-moving environments Strong customer focus and empathy, plus intellectual curiosity and comfort making decisions under uncertainty M&A experience (a plus, not required) A reputation as a passionate leader and strong communicator who gets things done The pay range for this position in New York City is $300K-$375K (combination of base + bonus). The actual base pay offered may vary within the range provided depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Stock options and other incentive pay may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
