Description Vice President, Leidos Energy CFO Strategic Business Partner & Transformation Leader Shape the financial and operational strategy behind one of Leidos' five growth pillars under the NorthStar 2030 Strategy. As Vice President, Leidos Energy CFO, you will serve as the senior F&A executive for a ~\$1.3B business with ambitions to exceed $2B in the next few years. As a core member of the Energy Leadership Team, you will partner directly with the Business Area SVP to shape growth strategy

•a distinctive opportunity for finance and operations executives from government contracting backgrounds to expand into a growth-oriented commercial energy business, without leaving the broader Leidos ecosystem. This is not a traditional finance leadership role. We are seeking an enterprise business leader who happens to bring exceptional financial and operational depth. The VP, Leidos Energy CFO will lead financial planning and analysis, business operations, performance management, strategic planning, pricing oversight and strategy, and the cash management function, while modernizing the F&A operating model through advanced analytics, automation, and responsible adoption of AI to improve forecast accuracy, management insight, decision speed, and organizational productivity. The ideal candidate is a business-minded leader with strong financial acumen, operational instincts, executive presence, and a proven ability to influence outcomes across a complex organization. They must be able to translate data into insight, insight into action, and action into results.

Reporting Relationship:

The VP serves as a core member of the Energy Leadership Team and principal business partner to the Energy Business Area SVP, with direct reporting to the Homeland Sector CFO. This leader will oversee a Finance & Business Operations organization of approximately 100 professionals spanning Program Finance/Project Controls, FP&A, and cash management, with a dotted-line relationship to Accounting, which reports directly into the Corporate Controller's Office. •as a complement to Energy's organic growth strategy Lead all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, performance management, strategic analysis, and related communications Establish a scalable operating rhythm that drives accountability, execution, and business performance Partner with Operations, Growth, Business Development, Technology, and Program leaders to maximize growth and profitability Modernize the F&A operating model through advanced analytics, automation, and responsible adoption of AI, improving forecast accuracy, management insight, and decision speed Deliver clear, actionable insights and compelling business narratives that support executive decision-making Lead and develop a high-performing Finance & Business Operations organization Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement Exemplify Leidos values of integrity, inclusion, innovation, agility, collaboration, and commitment Ensure strong financial controls and governance across the business, partnering with Accounting and the Corporate Controller's Office on internal controls and compliance with IRS, SEC, and other applicable regulatory requirements Set pricing strategy and provide oversight and governance across the Energy business, partnering with Program Management on execution What Success Looks Like Within the first 24-36 months, this leader will: Help scale the Energy business from approximately $1.3B toward $2B in annual revenue Establish Finance & Business Operations as a strategic competitive advantage Build an AI-enabled operating model that improves decision speed, insight quality, and business performance Strengthen accountability, operational execution, and performance management across the organization Establish themselves as a trusted advisor to the Energy Business Area SVP, Energy Leadership Team, and Corporate leadership Development a deep bench of future leaders across Finance & Business Operations Position the Energy business as a model for growth, operational excellence, and innovation across Leidos Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across finance, business operations, strategic planning, or related functions Experience leading or supporting large, complex businesses at significant scale, ideally $1B+ in revenue Demonstrated experience operating successfully in a matrixed enterprise environment Proven track record of driving growth, improving performance, and leading transformation Exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and ability to influence senior leaders Demonstrated ability to build and communicate data-driven business cases that influence executive decisions Experience leading large teams and developing future leaders Strong understanding of analytics, automation, and emerging technologies, including AI, and their application to business performance Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Experience identifying, evaluating, or integrating M&A opportunities, including aligning financial systems, reporting, and operating processes across newly combined businesses Preferred Qualifications We welcome executives whose experience has been built in energy, utilities, infrastructure, engineering services, government contracting, or similarly complex regulated/project-based businesses. Deep expertise in one environment combined with demonstrated ability to learn and operate across adjacent markets is highly valued. Pay Range $223,800.00
