Description
JOB PURPOSE
This position's responsibility is to monitor Dealer & PDC/Port warranty claims, coordinate and assist in managing the technical & financial settlement and payment of warranty claims. Assist and support program stakeholders when requested to identify product quality issues. Travel in data support capacity, if need be, to local & overseas supplier facilities, Glovis Ports or various manufacturing locations for quality issues. Create and distribute monthly warranty claim status reports & historical analysis, establish and enforce warranty target expectations and program risk assessments for all active suppliers on a monthly, bi-weekly, half-year and annual basis for new or existing accessory launch programs. Supervise warranty staff members in the absence of the Warranty supervisor or QA dept manager to either plan, coordinate, support and execute claim resolution or risk assessment with Quality Assurance & PIO Supply department.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist with dealer warranty claim operations involving aspects of review, analysis, report and coordination of supplier judgment, resolution, claim settlement and financial resolution in conjunction of H/K/GMA, Finance, Accessory Supply, QA, Local/Korea suppliers, customers and Glovis affiliates. Coordinate, prepare and establish procedures that could streamline Dealer Claim Resolution process based on the scope of operations allowed and defined within the system platform and establish a financial recovery plan for accessory warranty operations. (30%) Build, review, improve and update all claim data elements submitted though H/K/GMA for products released out to the public. Build quantitative measures to optimize performance analytics for continuous improvement of program acceptance criteria and financial exposure. Summarize end results of all resolution monthly. Supervise and support with warranty analysis to other departments. (25%) Monitor Field & PDC/Port warranty activities in regards to KPI targets and established financial recovery plans for all active (new and existing) accessory programs. Participate in program kick-off meetings in conjunction with Purchasing, Sales, Engineering and QA to clearly define Dealer & Port claim process and Post-launch programs to optimize Warranty costs. Support all participating parties with accurate data, status, forecast and reports with acceptable warranty exposure to MPA Accessory operations. (15%) Create and report weekly & monthly warranty reports that clearly define risk classification, financial exposure, part performance trend and recovery status by reviewing warranty claim data and other established means. Monitor warranty claims on all programs and subsequent field claims originating from Port activity with cooperation from
H/KMA, MPA
internal departments and QA engineers. Cooperate and support MPA Parts division to ensure MPA meets customer expectations. (15%) Monitor dealer warranty activity focused on program risk assessment & performance monitoring in conjunction with assigned local and Korea supply sources to assure contractual compliance with all

warranty obligations. Review and confirm warranty expectations on all newly planned accessories. Outline and report on completion on warranty recovery status, open issues, action plans and make recommendations to the core team and Manager of quality assurance. (15%)
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Build, maintain, update and improve claim database for optimized Dealer warranty claim analysis. Review all warranty claim for H/K/GMA claims and generate status reports, communicate with HQ and suppliers on all warranty claims for equitable resolution & claim cost recovery. Attend kick-off meetings with various departments and provide Warranty analysis as needed. Coordinate warranty settlements and payments with HMA and KMA. Required Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in finance or statistics, required. 3-5 years of directly related professional level cost control, warranty analysis experience preferably in automobile industry (Supplier or OEM) Knowledge of automotive warranty system and risk management in manufacturing, dealer environment, claims processing. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret warranty reports. Advanced knowledge of work processor, spreadsheet, Access or programming language related to creation of scalable database applications SKILLS Proficient computer skills: e-mail, record keeping, routine database, word processing, spreadsheets Define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
