Job Description

What you will do You'll be a key contributor to the company's operational excellence by conducting quality assurance reviews within our Commercial General Liability and Errors and Omissions lines. With skills in leadership, collaboration, and relationship-building, you'll share file review results and host calibration sessions. In the spirit of continuous improvement, you'll use your analytical skills to identify claim handling trends and create reports to members of our leadership team with recommendations for improvement. This position requires advanced industry knowledge and strong technical claims handling acumen. This is a hybrid role reporting to our Charlotte-Ballantyne, NC; Woodbury, Long Island; or New Hartford, NY location. Key responsibilities Ensures timely completion of assigned file reviews, calibration sessions and analysis reports to leadership. Applies advanced knowledge of the claims process, policies & procedures, systems, coverage, liability, damage estimating, and/or settlement and adherence to applicable legal and regulatory compliance standards when conducting file reviews. Identifies claim handling trends by applying advanced industry knowledge to discipline practices to produce recommendations for improvement opportunities. Effectively communicates observations to all levels of leadership and provides substantiate feedback and coaching to associates. Work closely with the Director of Field Claim Operations, line of business Directors and regional leadership to ensure compliance with claim handling, practices and procedures. Provide training and support to the Claims field leadership and frontline Claims staff. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Director of Claims Quality and Strategy. What you need 4-year college degree preferred. 4-8 years' claims experience, demonstrating expertise in underlying coverages, broad background in litigated matters and development. Strong background in General Liability; background in E&O preferred. People and project leadership experience preferred. Solid understanding and experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
