Job Description

Location Shelbyville, TN Work Schedule M-F | 0700-1700 Primary Function Manage, supervise, train and motivate the department employees to achieve the desired departmental goals. Description Manage and coach team to achieve department goals Work closely with company counsel, insurance brokers, agents and adjusters Secure and analyze necessary information for investigation of claims Investigate and maintain clear understanding of claims in process, monitor progress and promote resolution of claim file Attend required meetings, including depositions, mediations and/or court trials Working with company insurance adjuster, reserves and settles claims within prescribed limits Submits claim settlement recommendation to immediate supervisor for approval when above prescribed limits Conveys moderately complex information to all appropriate parties, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations Ensures payments are made in timely and accurate manner Ensures claims processing is conducted in compliance with all applicable statues, regulations, applicable legal requirements and company policies and procedures Handles on call phone to insure correct and timely handling of all claims Perform additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction Resourceful and creative; analytical with excellent organization and follow through skills Team player and problem solver Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent Customer Service skills Negotiation and decision-making skills Attention to detail and sound report-writing skills Additional Requirements 3-5 Years Safety or Transportation Management and Claims Management experience Education Required High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree Preferred EOE Big G Express is an Equal Opportunity Employer and actively seeks to diversify its workforce.
