We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an experienced Compliance Manager . The Compliance Manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of Glenwood's compliance and performance improvement activities. This role supports the organization's compliance program through auditing, monitoring, investigation coordination, and regulatory tracking. The Compliance Manager ensures processes are followed, documentation is complete, and compliance activities are carried out effectively, while escalating risks and concerns to the Senior Director. This is a full-time onsite position, Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Essential Functions:
Auditing & Monitoring Conduct routine compliance audits, including: Clinical documentation Program and residential compliance Basic billing and coding reviews Implement audit plans developed by the Senior Director Track audit findings, trends, and corrective actions Prepare reports and summaries for leadership review Investigation Coordination & Review Coordinate the investigation process, including: Tracking cases Ensuring timely completion Maintaining documentation Review completed investigations for: Completeness Accuracy Alignment with regulatory and policy requirements Route investigations to the Senior Director and executive leadership for review and approval Maintain investigation logs and reporting Regulatory & Compliance Support Monitor compliance with applicable regulations (Medicaid, HIPAA, ADMH, CARF) Identify and escalate potential compliance concerns Support preparation for external audits and regulatory reviews Privacy Administration Support Privacy Officer functions, including: Processing release of information requests Maintaining accounting of disclosures Tracking rights of access requests Maintain documentation related to privacy compliance Escalate potential privacy concerns or breaches Training & Policy Support Assist with development and delivery of compliance training Track staff training completion and compliance requirements Support maintenance and updates of compliance policies and procedures Performance Improvement & Accreditation Support Support data collection and analysis for performance improvement initiatives Assist with CARF and other accreditation preparation activities Track action items and follow-up from compliance and quality initiatives Reporting & Communication Prepare routine reports on: Audit results Investigation tracking Compliance trends Provide regular updates to the Senior Director Education and Experience Bachelor's degree required A minimum of 3-5 years in healthcare or behavioral health Experience in compliance, QA, auditing, or related field preferred Certifications (Preferred) CHC or CHPC preferred but not required Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements Strong organizational and analytical skills Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
