Aviation Contracts Full Job Description Job Overview Description:

We are seeking a Director for Contracts and Compliance, to support aviation related parts manufacturing, repair, refurbishment, testing, quality assurance and regulatory oversight for a position based in Gilbert AZ. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with commercial and federal regulations while serving as the primary interface with government audit agencies and customers. The position requires experience government contracting environments. The ideal candidate brings experience in government contracting, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on.

Required Functions:

Lead the organization's government compliance function, ensuring adherence to FAR, DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Oversee the daily operations in support of customer requirements, Statements of Work (SOWs) / Statements of Objectives (SOOs) and Contract Deliverables Requirements List (CDRLs) Serve as the primary liaison with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), including support for disclosure statements, forward pricing rate proposals, agreements, and business system audits. Establish and maintain compliance, processes, and internal controls in accordance with executed contracts and the SOWs and or SOOs Oversee compliance with government and commercial contract requirements, ensuring documentation and processes meet applicable standards and audit expectations. Monitor contractual obligations, deliverable requirements, and risk areas to help the business remain aligned with customer and regulatory expectations. Provide subject matter expertise on new and evolving government regulations and their business impact.

Audit & Business Systems Support:

Coordinate and support government business system audits, including audit planning, risk assessments, testing, and fieldwork. Work with process owners to document workflows, conduct walkthroughs, and evaluate control effectiveness. Track audit requests, documentation, and responses to ensure timely and compliant submissions to government agencies.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or 5 years of relevant experience; or Have or possess the ability to obtain a security Clearence Preferred Qualifications Extensive experience with government compliance, including FAR, DFARS, CAS, incurred cost submissions, and DFARS business systems. Strong working knowledge of government and commercial acquisition. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and influence stakeholders across all organizational levels. Prior experience in government contracting, Department of War and aviation environments preferred. Perform Air in an Equal Employment Opportunity employer
