This role is pivotal in supporting the development and operations of business locations across the country. Depending on experience, the role may range from hands-on execution of licensing tasks to project oversight, process leadership, and cross-functional coordination. The Licensing Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of licensing and permitting activities for new and existing business locations. This role directly oversees departmental workflows, project timelines, and staff performance, ensuring all licensing requirements are completed accurately and on schedule. The Manager serves as a hands-on leader, balancing project execution with team supervision and coordination to ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met on time and with high accuracy. Key Responsibilities Manage and execute licensing and permitting activities for assigned projects and locations. Oversee day-to-day department operations, task assignments, and workload distribution. Supervise, coach, and support Assistant Managers, Senior Representatives, and Representatives. Review and submit license and permit applications, renewals, and supporting documentation. Coordinate inspections, hearings, and agency communications. Monitor project timelines and proactively address delays or routine issues. Ensure licensing-related fees, invoices, and documentation are tracked and processed accurately. Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with department standards. Communicate project updates, risks, and workload status to Senior Manager or Director. Support onboarding, training, and performance development of team members. Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies. Core Competencies Strong working knowledge of licensing, permitting, and regulatory compliance processes. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Effective people-management and coaching skills. High attention to detail and organizational discipline. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word). College degree preferred. 2-4 years of relevant licensing or regulatory experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Work Requirements Must be able to commute to the Brea, CA office and adhere to company's working schedule. Reliable transportation and punctual attendance. Ability and willingness to travel locally via their own vehicle, and domestically via flights. Compensation and Benefits This is a full-time position with compensation and salary based on experience and qualifications.
