Job Description

Annual salary range: $147,700.80 - $221,561.60 This position provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the hospital's risk management, and regulatory readiness compliance. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining systems that reduce organizational risk, support regulatory and accreditation compliance, and promote a culture of safety and transparency across the organization. Serving as the Patient Safety Officer, this position leads event investigation, claims coordination, and regulatory survey readiness while collaborating closely with clinical leaders, hospital management, providers, legal counsel, and regulatory agencies. Through data-driven analysis, education, and continuous improvement, the role ensures effective risk mitigation, strengthens patient safety practices, and supports high-quality, compliant care delivery. This position is accountable to county, state and federal agencies in addition to other external regulatory agencies for maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards . •Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation
EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five years of experience in risk management and regulatory in a healthcare setting preferred. Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field desired: Master's Degree or Juris Doctor Degree preferred.
Knowledgeable in regulatory requirements:
Federal, and State regulations including but not limited to, Title 22 licensing requirements, CMS Conditions of Participation, accrediting bodies such as The Joint Commission, California Department of Public Health, College of American Pathologist (CAP), and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Certified Professional in HealthCare Risk Management (CPHRM) required or must be achieved within 24months of hire. MAB is required to be completed on the first day of work. (
