Job Description
Summary/Objective:
The EHS and Compliance Manager leads environmental, health, safety, and regulatory compliance programs across Watermill Express Manufacturing and Field Operations. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while driving a proactive safety culture and continuous risk reduction across the organization. The EHS Manager is responsible for developing strategy, policies, training programs, compliance systems, and performance metrics that reduce incidents, minimize risk, and protect employees, customers, and company assets. .Essential Functions:
EHS Program Leadership & Strategy Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide EHS policies and procedures Lead annual EHS strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives Establish, track, and report company-wide safety KPIs and performance metrics Manage safety program budgets and resource requirements Maintain all EHS documentation and regulatory reporting systems Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and workers' compensation regulations MaintainOSHA 300
logs and required regulatory documentation Direct and monitor water and ice quality compliance testing at the unit level in each market, ensuring adherence to company and regulatory standards and frequency requirements. KeepMSDS/SDS
documentation current and accessible Conduct facility and field inspections and oversee corrective and preventive action plans Develop and maintain Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for high-risk manufacturing and field processes Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies Partner with insurance carriers and loss control representatives during audits and risk assessments Incident Management & Workers' Compensation Lead investigations into workplace injuries, accidents, near misses, and compliance violations Oversee post-accident reporting and required drug testing processes Administer the Return-to-Work program, including transitional duty assignments Support the workers' compensation program, including case management and quarterly loss run reviews Develop corrective and preventive action plans to reduce recurrence Safety Leadership & Culture Development Lead and facilitate company safety committee meetings (monthly/quarterly) Conduct regular safety reviews with Regional and District Managers Promote and strengthen safety culture across manufacturing and field teams Analyze safety trends and develop data-driven improvement plans Driver Safety Program Develop, manage, and continuously improve the driver safety program using Samsara (or similar platform) Establish driver safety KPIs, reporting dashboards, and performance tracking Implement corrective actions and incentive/reward systems to reduce incidents Deliver safe driving and vehicle safety training Training & Development Develop and deliver safety training for employees and new hires Ensure compliance with all required regulatory training (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.) Maintain training schedules and documentation in partnership with HR Coordinate First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications Manage manufacturing plant fire extinguisher inspection and certification programs Regular and predictable attendance for required schedule. Drive responsibly and always drive defensively when operating company vehicles. Maintain professional appearance including clean uniforms. Follow safety guidelines and act in a safe manner. Clean motor vehicle record and current valid driver's license. All other duties assigned.Benefits:

Experience developing and managing driver safety programs (Samsara preferred) Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and workers' compensation regulations Experience working with insurance carriers and loss control representatives Demonstrated ability to analyze safety data and develop actionable improvement plans Proven experience building safety culture in manufacturing and field environments Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and safety management software Bilingual Spanish preferredPhysical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Capable of bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, and walking job sites Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments Able to sit or stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours) Ability to travel independently, including overnight travel Frequent travel is required across all 20 market locations in 8 states .Education and Experience:
