Posting Number 2016459T Department Summary Organization and administration of the procedures for maintaining compliance with NCAA and Mid-American Conference rules and regulations and maintaining comprehensive rules and regulations training program for coaches, staff, and student-athletes, serves as the departmental liaison and builds relationships with campus leadership, manages all compliance staff, and serves as a member of the Athletics Leadership Team. Monitors & educates student-athletes, staff, coaches and community on NCAA Rules such as, but not limited to recruiting, eligibility, awards, enrollment, playing and practice seasons, financial aid, employment, NIL, extra benefits and gambling. Oversee the Documentation and reporting of NCAA violations to the NCAA and Mid-American Conference. Monitors financial aid for compliance with NCAA rules, budget oversight, and EADA compliance. Supervises the application process for Summer aid and the Issuance of Athletics aid Agreements. Monitor disbursement of athletic aid and any hold information. Communicate with student athletes concerning academic hold issues and collaborate with coaches to ensure timely registration. Oversees Rev Share contracts and issuance of contracts. Compile reports for the NCAA, Federal Government, Mid-American Conference and institution, including but not limited to, Grant-In-Aid Report, Sport Sponsorship & Demographics, Participation and Athletic Aid reports, Medical Disqualification etc. Act as liaison to various campus entities, including but not limited to Admissions, Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, Internal Audit, Legal Affairs, Undergraduate Colleges and Residential Life (housing & dining). Act as University liaison to the NCAA and Mid-American Conference on all NCAA compliance related matters in coordination with the Senior Associate Athletic Director. Oversees and maintains the Ohio Athletics Student-Athlete Code of Conduct in collaboration with the Senior Associate Athletic Director. Serve as liaison with campus entities, receiving, and communicating all non-academic conduct cases. Provide education/day-to-day guidance on conduct and team rules. Position Profile Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: Ensures University adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies to mitigate legal risks. Monitors regulatory changes, conducts audits, and advises on legal matters to maintain organizational integrity and prevent compliance violations. Level Summary Supervises a team and ensures effective work activities within work unit. Has input on personnel actions for direct reports. Primarily focused on supervision, but may still engage in operational tasks similar to the direct reports' roles. Accountable for the productivity and effectiveness of the team or department, ensuring goals are met. Supervisory Responsibilities Manages a small team. Directly oversees at least 2.0 FTE employees. Has authority to manage performance and assign duties. May have authority to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, reward, and discipline employees. Fiscal Responsibilities Responsible for managing a small budget or part of a larger budget. Problem Solving Solves interpersonal team issues, develops solutions for team-related problems. Seeks guidance from higher-level management on complex problems. Independence of Action Has discretion in decision-making but reports to higher-level management. Communication and Collaboration Collaborates with higher-level manager(s) and other teams, ensures team alignment with organizational goals. Physical Requirements This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs. Minimum Qualifications Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3 or more years of related professional experience, and 1 or more years of supervisory experience, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Division I FBS compliance experience. Department ICA Compli Student Svcs Pay Rate Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.
