This position plans, organizes and controls the Banks day to day administrative lending and operational compliance activities. Participates in various committees, audits and examinations, conducts staff training related to new hire and compliance. Helps compliance Committee advise Senior Management and Bank personnel of emerging compliance issues and consults and guides the Bank in the establishment of controls to mitigate risk
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Help to develop, administer and monitor a program that ensures the Bank's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules governing operations and product offerings. Maintains, research, implements, and manages the areas related to banking regulations, banking policies, public interest laws and consumer protection. Works to oversee compliance policies and advises senior leadership about risk management. Responsible for advising, overseeing, and training bank staff on the matters of compliance and procedures. Issuing investigations that are related to the possible noncompliance for ensuring that proper compliance and best practices are taking place Work with department managers to make improvements to systems in order to correct any violations, deficiencies found, and prepare responses to audit reports. Review new products and corresponding marketing materials to ensure compliance. Acting as one of the principal sources of contact with the external audit companies. Notify senior leadership of any instances of known or suspected criminal activities, whether from internal or external sources. Presents compliance education to Senior Management and board of directors. Responsible for regulation implementation and updates, accountability standards upheld among bank employees. Audits practices, collaborates with regulators, conducts/coordinates with external auditor to ensure compliance. Internal audits - External auditors - assist in process Assists in process of Regulators examinations Ensure deficiencies are corrected. Responsible for tracking, maintaining findings; logged-maintained on audit matrix, includes procedural audits (non-compliance) Attends to audit committee Chairs compliance committee, responsible to report monthly to Board re: compliance program
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines. Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent 5-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Legal background preferred Management experience Prior lending and operations experience preferred Experience or knowledge of state and federal deposit account & lending laws; and other deposit account & lending regulations preferred
