Position Summary Timewell Drainage Products is seeking a Compliance & Certification Specialist to support our Quality and Compliance Department. This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, state DOT, and company standards while supporting certification programs, audit readiness, and market access initiatives across multiple manufacturing locations. The Compliance & Certification Specialist will manage certification tracking, support state DOT product approvals, coordinate compliance documentation, assist with audits, and maintain records required for regulatory and customer compliance. This position works closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Sales teams to ensure ongoing compliance and support the company's continued growth into new markets. Essential Responsibilities Assist with maintaining compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, state DOT, and Timewell quality standards. Prepare documentation and records for AASHTO audits, surveillance activities, and certification reviews. Support state Department of Transportation (DOT) product approval and certification programs. Track certification requirements, expiration dates, approvals, and renewal schedules. Maintain certification, approval, and compliance tracking databases to ensure accurate and current records. Coordinate the collection and submission of required test reports, certifications, and supporting documentation. Conduct internal compliance reviews and documentation audits. Monitor changes to ASTM, AASHTO, and state DOT specifications and communicate potential impacts to management. Work with Quality Control personnel across multiple manufacturing locations to ensure compliance requirements are consistently met. Assist with corrective actions resulting from audits, certification findings, customer requirements, or internal reviews. Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for compliance documentation and records retention. Generate reports and summaries for management regarding certification status, audit readiness, and compliance initiatives. Support new product approvals and market access efforts through documentation and certification management. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely completion of compliance-related projects and requirements. Qualifications Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction Materials, Business, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in quality systems, compliance, manufacturing, certification management, regulatory documentation, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, ISO, or similar industry standards preferred. Strong organizational, document control, and record-keeping skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with state DOT certification or product approval programs. Experience supporting audits, quality management systems, or compliance programs. Experience with document control systems, ERP systems, or compliance tracking software. Manufacturing or construction materials industry experience. Knowledge of HDPE, polypropylene, or drainage products. Experience coordinating projects across multiple locations or departments. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities, customer locations, or audit sites as needed. $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
