Job Description

Hallcon provides essential services spanning multi-modal operations, integrated command centers, electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, technology integration, analytics, business intelligence, fleet management, specialty cleaning, and overall rider experience performance. We are inviting the right leader to join our team and help us drive rapid growth. Position Summary The Corporate Compliance Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the organization's compliance program by ensuring regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards are effectively implemented and monitored. This role serves as a key link between leadership and frontline operations, maintaining accurate records, coordinating audits, and assisting with employee training and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring Provides high level of internal and external customer service with inviting tone and follow-through by finding the best course of action with the company's best interests in mind. Assist the Compliance Manager in monitoring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., DOT, FMCSA, PUC, CPUC, OSHA, etc.). Maintain compliance records, dashboards, and tracking systems for audits, inspections, registrations, licenses, and renewals. Actively manage incomplete compliance items for drivers and vehicles to resolution. Ensure documentation is complete, current, and readily available for internal and external review. Support random drug testing programs by completing assigned activities. Policy Implementation & Reporting Coordinate and track company-wide compliance activities to ensure alignment with policies and procedures. Support the development and rollout of compliance initiatives, SOPs, and corrective action plans. Prepare regular compliance reports and updates for the Compliance Manager and leadership team. Audits & Investigations Assist with internal audits and external regulatory reviews, ensuring timely follow-up on findings. Document and track corrective actions, escalating issues when appropriate. Support investigations of compliance concerns in collaboration with HR, Legal, and Operations. Training & Communication Coordinate training sessions and communications to ensure employees are aware of compliance requirements. Maintain training records and assist in developing awareness materials. Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related questions and escalate issues to the Compliance Manager. Collaboration & Support Work closely with the Compliance Team Members to ensure day-to-day administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Support cross-departmental collaboration (e.g., HR, Safety, Finance, Risk Management, Operations) to ensure compliance standards are consistently applied. Qualifications Associates degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Compliance, or related field (or equivalent experience Bachelor's degree preferred). 2+ years of experience in compliance, auditing, or regulatory support (transportation or logistics industry experience preferred). Strong understanding of federal/state regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate professionally with employees at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 productivity tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with compliance software or data systems preferred.
