Overview Join our dynamic team as a Michigan Farm Metrc and Compliance Specialist, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our agricultural operations meet all regulatory standards and maintain seamless compliance with the Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA). This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the responsible growth of the cannabis industry by managing Metrc (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance) systems and overseeing compliance protocols. Your proactive approach will help us uphold integrity, transparency, and excellence in every aspect of our farm operations. Responsibilities Manage and oversee all Metrc system activities related to the farm, including seed-to-sale tracking, inventory updates, and reporting requirements. Ensure accurate and timely data entry for plant counts, harvests, transfers, and sales within the Metrc platform. Monitor daily compliance with Michigan state regulations, including licensing requirements, recordkeeping, and reporting deadlines. Conduct regular audits of inventory records and physical assets to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cultivation teams to ensure proper documentation of plant growth stages, batch tracking, and waste disposal procedures. Maintain detailed records of all compliance activities, inspections, and system updates for audit readiness. Stay informed about evolving Michigan cannabis laws and regulations to proactively adapt operational procedures. Requirements Proven experience with Metrc or similar seed-to-sale tracking systems within the cannabis or agricultural industry. Strong understanding of Michigan marijuana regulations, licensing processes, and compliance standards. Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail for recordkeeping and reporting. Ability to interpret regulatory guidelines and implement them effectively within daily operations. Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity. Effective communication skills to coordinate across cultivation, compliance teams, and external regulators. A motivated self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
