Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented RCRA Compliance Manager to lead our hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance efforts. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the implementation and maintenance of RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act) standards, ensuring our operations adhere to all environmental regulations. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement in compliance practices, support sustainable waste management strategies, and foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence environmental stewardship while working within a dynamic, innovative environment. Duties Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive RCRA compliance programs aligned with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct regular audits and inspections of waste management processes to ensure adherence to RCRA requirements and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, research, and regulatory teams to ensure proper handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste. Lead training sessions for staff on hazardous waste regulations, safety procedures, and best practices for compliance management. Manage documentation related to hazardous waste generation, manifests, disposal records, and regulatory reporting obligations. Stay current on changes in environmental laws such as FDA regulations related to manufacturing processes involving chemicals or clinical trials that impact waste management. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during inspections or audits related to RCRA compliance. Skills Strong knowledge of RCRA regulations along with relevant environmental laws such as FDA regulations applicable to manufacturing and clinical trials. Expertise in chemistry, with an understanding of how chemical processes impact waste management practices. Proven experience in compliance management within regulated environments, including quality assurance protocols. Excellent project management skills to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met. Ability to research complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable procedures for operational teams. Effective communication skills to train staff, prepare reports, and liaise with regulatory agencies confidently. Demonstrated commitment to safety culture and environmental sustainability through proactive compliance efforts. Pay:
