Job Description
A growing, employee-owned mechanical construction organization is seeking a Trade Partner Qualification Specialist to join its Preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in construction administration, compliance, risk management, or subcontractor/vendor management. This position will manage trade partner prequalification and compliance, ensuring subcontractors and vendors meet company requirements related to safety, quality, financial strength, capacity, insurance, and licensing. Responsibilities
- Manage subcontractor and vendor prequalification.
- Review safety, quality, financial, insurance, and licensing documentation.
- Ensure required documentation is complete and current.
- Track internal safety, quality, and finance approvals.
- Maintain accurate trade partner compliance information.
- Contact subcontractors and vendors regarding missing or updated documentation.
- Monitor compliance status and prevent lapses.
- Support trade partner onboarding.
- Generate reports related to compliance, risk, and qualification status.
- Support BuildingConnected and Autodesk Construction Cloud integration.
- Identify opportunities to improve compliance workflows.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and sensitive information. Qualifications
- 2+ years of construction administration, compliance, risk management, or subcontractor/vendor management experience.
- Experience with subcontractor or vendor prequalification.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- TradeTapp or similar prequalification platform experience preferred.
- BuildingConnected or Autodesk Construction Cloud experience is a plus.
- Understanding of construction safety, insurance, quality, and financial requirements.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work directly with subcontractors, vendors, and internal leadership.
- Ability to maintain confidential information. Compensation & Benefits
