Regulatory Compliance Supervisor (26141472)
Position Title:
Regulatory Compliance Supervisor - (26141472) The Public Service Commission seeks a Regulatory Compliance Supervisor to lead the agency's regulatory compliance activities and functions. This position provides primary support and coordination for the consumer assistance, telecommunications, transportation, and water and sewer programs. It also includes direct supervision of 2 full-time and 3 part-time staff. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with an innovative state agency. Responsibilities:
Performs management functions, including hiring, firing, performance management, discipline, work distribution, and employee development. Directly supervises and mentors five staff positions including temporary staff as needed. Handles elevated disputes between regulated companies and their customers. Receives, records, assesses, and prepares reports of complaints or requests from consumers for assistance, including documenting findings and resolutions and communicating trends to the commission. Implements commission-delegated authority to act on uncontested utility applications. Reviews industry-specific agency regulations and statutes governing applications and presents recommendations to the commission. Oversees and prepares reports and recommendations regarding disposition of dockets and matters of noncompliance. Facilitates and processes public comments on commission proceedings as needed. Contributes to consumer information, public relations, and education materials and disseminates content through social media, website, print, and other means. Corresponds with representatives of regulated companies and federal representatives to obtain information and monitor industry trends and government policies. Presents and participates on the website committee, and other committees as requested. Assists with development of the commission's annual report, performance report, and annual plan.

Special Information:
This position may be eligible for a statutory base pay increase effective on July 1, 2026. First review of applications will be conducted on June 12, 2026.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service and phone acumen Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Flexibility, impartiality, and attention to detail Strong organizational, analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities Ability to quickly become highly proficient in the effective use of the Department's electronic case management software platform Ability to maintain positive attitude and function effectively even when dealing with strict deadlines, unexpected changes, upset customers, or other potentially stressful situations Ability to provide effective team leadership Ability to establish cooperative relationships and develop positive working relationships. Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience): Bachelor's degree in business or a related field Three years of directly related work experience Two years of supervisory experience Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted.

Training Assignment:
This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire.
Salary:
$ 70,720.00 - 74,880.00
