We are seeking a highly resourceful, fiercely independent Logistics & Compliance Manager to own our transportation department end-to-end. In this standalone position, you will be entirely responsible for the full scope of our fleet operations, route planning, driver tracking, corporate permitting, and safety compliance framework without direct administrative support.
Complete Standalone Job Duties End-to-End Route Planning:
Independently architect, optimize, and schedule daily multi-stop inbound/outbound commercial transport runs.
Solo Administrative Execution:
Directly prepare, audit, and systematically file all shipping paperwork, bills of lading (BOLs), and truck manifests prior to dispatch and immediately following warehouse unloading.
Emergency Accident Management:
Serve as the sole command point for commercial truck accidents. Manage the complete aftermath independently, including immediate accident documentation, emergency services layout, and direct coordination with insurance adjusters.
DOT Driver Compliance Tracking:
Routinely audit, track, and officially submit all commercial driver DOT physical records, medical examiner certificates, and mandated drug/alcohol screening logs.
Corporate Returns & Subscriptions:
Independently manage and execute all periodic transport returns, ELD/fleet software subscriptions, and state licensing renewals to prevent any operational lapse.
Driver Roadside Logistics:
Directly manage active over-the-road travel support for drivers, including booking hotel accommodations and tracking fuel spending.
Fleet Telematics & Optimization:
Fully utilize Samsara fleet software to trace real-time asset tracking and analyze raw transit data to improve route density and lower operating costs.
Position Requirements Autonomous Operation:
Proven experience working completely independently in fleet management.
Software Mastery:
Proficient with Samsara or modern telematics systems; highly analytical with logistics spreadsheets.
Regulatory Competency:
Strong working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance frameworks.
Crisis Stability:
Exceptional emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills necessary to manage vehicle accidents or roadside emergencies alone.
Pay:
$58,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
