Full Job Description Description:
The Senior Compliance Manager provides senior leadership and hands-on oversight of Standard Nutrition Company's regulatory compliance programs — including OSHA, FSMA, and DOT — across all operating company locations. This role owns Standard's day-to-day relationships with the outside agencies, safety consultants, and subject matter experts that support the compliance program, and is responsible for a structured annual audit at every location: conducting the audit, reporting findings to site and senior leadership, and building a remediation plan that the location works through with this role's regular follow-up and support until corrective actions are complete. The Senior Compliance Manager also serves as Standard's primary point of contact and on-site lead when official audits or inspections are conducted by governing agencies. This role leads a small team of Compliance Coordinator(s).
Requirements:
Own and administer Standard Nutrition Company's compliance programs for OSHA, FSMA, DOT, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations across all operating company locations. Design and lead an annual compliance audit at every location, evaluating practices against OSHA, FSMA, DOT, and related regulatory requirements. Prepare clear, well-documented audit reports and present findings to site and senior leadership. Build a remediation plan for each location following its audit, defining corrective actions, owners, and timelines. Provide regular, timely follow-up and hands-on support to locations working through remediation plans, ensuring corrective actions are completed on schedule. Track the status of all open findings and corrective actions company-wide, and escalate stalled items to senior leadership. Serve as Standard's primary point of contact and on-site lead for official audits and inspections conducted by OSHA, FDA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies. Manage and maintain working relationships with the outside agencies, consultants, and subject matter experts that support Standard's compliance program. Monitor changes in OSHA, FSMA, DOT, and related regulations, and update company policies, programs, and training accordingly. Partner with site leadership to build compliance awareness and ensure operational practices meet applicable food safety, transportation, and workplace safety standards. Lead and develop Compliance Coordinator(s), assigning audit and follow-up work and holding the team accountable for timely, high-quality execution. Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and filings for all locations. Report compliance status, audit findings, remediation progress, and regulatory risk to senior leadership on a regular basis. Regular and punctual attendance is required. All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
Deep working knowledge of OSHA, FSMA, and DOT regulations and how they apply to day-to-day operations. Strong communicator who follows up promptly and keeps locations, agencies, and leadership aligned and informed. Skilled at translating audit findings into practical, achievable remediation plans. Comfortable representing the company directly to regulatory agencies and outside experts. Strong organizational and project management skills; able to track multiple audits and remediation plans at once across locations. Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive compliance and regulatory matters. Ability to build effective working relationships with site leadership, outside agencies, and consultants. Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold a small team accountable for results.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health, food science, or a related field. 7-10 years of progressive experience in OSHA, FSMA, and/or DOT compliance, including experience across multiple sites or business units. Certification such as CSP, CFS, or CDS preferred. Experience managing or coordinating regulatory audits, including direct interaction with regulatory agencies, strongly preferred. Experience leading or coaching direct reports preferred.
