Job Description

Manager, Credentialing & Quality $70,000 - $75,000
Job Duties:
The Manager, Credentialing & Quality oversees all aspects of credentialing, compliance, and quality assurance to ensure healthcare professionals meet the highest standards of regulatory, client, and accreditation requirements. This role leads a dedicated team in executing end-to-end credentialing processes in alignment with Joint Commission standards, state regulations, and client-specific criteria, while developing and refining internal workflows to optimize efficiency and mitigate risk. Acting as the primary clinical liaison for client interactions, audits, and accreditation activities, the Manager provides expert guidance on clinical protocols, ensures accurate credentialing records, and fosters strong B2B relationships through consistent delivery of superior compliance practices. The role is accountable for risk management, including primary source verification, sentinel event oversight, and compliance investigations, with findings documented and presented to senior leadership for resolution.
Role Requirements:
Credentialing & Compliance Oversight:
Lead the credentialing and compliance team in evaluating and approving healthcare professionals for placement with clients. Ensure all credentialing processes meet or exceed Joint Commission standards, state regulations, and client-specific requirements. Establish and enhance internal policies and workflows aimed at improving efficiency, minimizing risk, and ensuring audit readiness. Evaluate complex credentialing cases, render final decisions, and drive continuous process improvements. Clinical Liaison Responsibilities.
Joint Commission Requirement:
Serve as the main clinical representative during client interactions, audits, and accreditation activities. Provide expert clinical advice to support client relationships and maintain accreditation compliance. Regularly update clinical protocols and credentialing records according to regulatory guidelines. Actively manage and nurture Rapid Temps' B2B partnerships by consistently exceeding client expectations around clinical standards and credentialing practices.
Risk Management & Sentinel Event Oversight:
Develop, implement, and manage risk mitigation strategies, including robust primary source verification protocols. Lead the clinical review of sentinel events, such as medication errors and other safety concerns. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely reporting and resolution of identified risks.
Remediation & Compliance Resolution:
Assist in the investigation of clinical concerns or incidents reported by clients. Document and present findings from clinical and compliance investigations to HR and senior leadership to determine appropriate actions. Support thorough documentation and ongoing process improvements related to remediation activities.
Quality Assurance & Improvement:
Direct Rapid Temps' quality assurance initiatives, including internal auditing, incident monitoring, and performance assessments. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to evaluate compliance effectiveness and service quality. Initiate corrective actions and drive cross-departmental improvements to uphold and enhance service standards.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Manage, coach, and develop the credentialing and QA team members, fostering accountability and professional growth. Encourage collaboration between departments to streamline and enhance credentialing and compliance activities. Engage actively in strategic planning and support internal projects and external partnerships. Facilitate effective communication between operational teams and external business clients to ensure cohesive, strategic credentialing practices.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience focused on compliance, risk management, or leadership roles Preferred experience in credentialing, regulatory compliance, or healthcare staffing Strong knowledge of Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA, and
ISO 9001
