Job Description

School Bus Transportation Company in Orange County is looking for a Compliance Manager to oversee the compliance of drivers and monitors. The Compliance Manager position is a critical role in the overall success of the Orange County School Bus Transportation Company Safety & Training Department. Starting salary of $65,000 (May be commensurate based on experience).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Must hold a 19-A Certified Examiner certification & SBDI certifications Have a valid, clean Class B with P & S endorsements Managerial skill set Oversee the departments of 19-A Examiners, SBDI's (School Bus Driver Instructors) & Safety and Training for new and existing Drivers and Monitors Ensuring and maintaining
DMV 19-A, SED & FMCSA
Files are current and up to date Schedule and administer 19-A/SED testing for employees as needed Facilitation of Safety Meetings and/or Safety related classes Training and/or retraining of new and existing staff Investigate, address, and document all safety violations, at fault accidents and administer re-training if necessary Coordinate and interact with Drivers, Monitors, Dispatchers, and Safety & Training department to ensure full 19-A/SED and
FMCSA DOT
compliance Liaison between School District and Company Ability to work with Upper Management to identify and effectively implement processes for improvement May be required to drive as needed May need to respond to accidents and incidents
QUALIFICATIONS 19-A
Examiner Certification and SBDI Certifications required Valid, clean Class B driver's license with a P and S endorsements 5+ years' experience in the School Bus industry Detail oriented, able to prioritize, scheduling Must be able to work independently, be proactive, and be a self-starter Excellent computer and technology skills including Microsoft Office suite Must have managerial skills Must be able to work flexible hours Must have School Bus experience Must be willing to travel to other locations as needed "We're an equal opportunity employer .
