Job Description

The purpose of this position is to monitor food safety and quality assurance documentation to ensure compliance, aid with internal and customer audits, complete customer reporting, provide necessary training to team members and ensure the product is released once it has met customer specifications.
Functions and Responsibilities:
Review quality assurance documentation daily and provide follow up education with FSQA team members as needed Ensure FSQA checks are completed in allotted time frame Ensure accuracy of information Ensure compliance to customer specifications Provide education and communication on any documentation out of specification Maintain and prepare product samples for analytical testing including any retesting that may need to be completed Review production schedule daily. Generate and print all necessary chemical and micro labels. Ensure all samples are pulled and sent to the labs in a timely manner Review LIMS results daily, release all products that receive passing results and generate all necessary COAs Organize retesting samples of any products that do not pass chemical analysis Generate and organize certificates of analysis Generate and send all necessary COAs to customer specific emails or folders Assist as a primary backup to HACCP Coordinator and FSQA Supervisor Review and verify all HACCP documentations Assist with FSQA Technicians and on floor operations Build and maintain a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with operations and the United States Department of Agriculture Ability to communicate with operations regarding daily production issues Ability to communicate with USDA regarding FSQA policies and procedures Aid in the preparation for internal and customer audits Assist with necessary document preparation prior to audits Assist with document needs during an audit Work with FSQA, Technical Services, Operations and any necessary parties after an audit to provide effective corrective and preventative actions and necessary training. Complete customer product quality assessments, samples and reports Perform necessary customer testing and complete corresponding reports Analyze and complete customer reporting and send to customers Provide procedure training to FSQA, Technical Services and Operations Monitor and provide updates on annual training in Alchemy Assist with training as needed Edit and review documents and procedures to ensure accuracy and standardization Review documents and procedures as needed Provide a culture of integrity as it related to food safety and quality throughout the plant Ensure FSQA checks are completed in allotted time frame Ensure accuracy of information Ensure compliance to customer specifications Provide education and communication on any documentation out of specification Review production schedule daily.
