Position Type:
Full-Time Position Summary Redbird Bioscience is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Compliance Manager to join our growing team! This leadership role is a key part of helping our vertically integrated cannabis operations run smoothly, responsibly, and in full compliance across cultivation, extraction, packaging, distribution, and retail. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in building strong systems and processes that support both compliance and operational success. The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable in Oklahoma cannabis regulations, extremely detail-oriented, confident with METRC, and passionate about helping teams stay organized, informed, and audit-ready. In this role, you'll work closely with executive leadership, operational teams, and regulatory agencies to develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs that protect our licenses, strengthen operational integrity, and support the continued growth of Redbird Bioscience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Monitor, interpret, and remain current on all applicable OMMA regulations, emergency rules, cannabis industry regulations, and other applicable state and federal cannabis compliance requirements Analyze regulatory updates and communicate operational impacts, risks, and compliance recommendations to executive leadership and department managers Develop, implement, maintain, and enforce company-wide compliance programs, policies, SOPs, and corrective action plans Identify compliance risks, operational vulnerabilities, and process deficiencies while implementing preventative and corrective measures Lead internal audits, inspections, investigations, compliance reviews, and risk assessments to minimize operational and legal exposure Maintain organized and accurate compliance documentation, reporting systems, Lab COA ,audit records, testing records, manifests, and regulatory filings in accordance with state retention requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for OMMA inspectors, and METRC . Seed-to-Sale METRC Administration Cultivation Compliance Oversee accurate METRC plant tracking, including immature and mature plant tagging, harvest batch creation, and waste disposal documentation Conduct routine physical inventory audits, spot-checks, and plant counts to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent product loss, shrinkage, or diversion Ensure cultivation SOPs comply with OMMA regulations and sanitation standards Manufacturing & Extraction Compliance Oversee compliance for extraction, processing, infused product manufacturing, and packaging operations Ensure all extraction batches, concentrates, crude yields, and manufactured products are properly categorized and tracked within METRC and ERP systems Develop and enforce SOPs related to extraction operations, hazardous material handling, sanitation, and waste disposal Distribution & Inventory Compliance Manage compliant transport manifest generation and auditing for all incoming and outgoing transfers Verify inventory reconciliation accuracy before products leave the facility Ensure packaging, labeling, inventory controls, and transportation procedures comply with all OMMA regulations and state reporting requirements Product Testing, Quality Control & Recall Management Coordinate with third-party laboratories and operational teams to ensure all products receive required state-mandated testing prior to sale or transfer Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for compliance with potency, contaminant, and safety standards Manage remediation, quarantine, recall, destruction, and disposal procedures for failed or non-compliant product batches Audit packaging and labeling for compliance with OMMA regulations, including THC/CBD potency disclosures, warning statements, batch tracking, and universal symbols Oversee adverse event reporting and compliance-related incident response procedures when necessary Leadership & Training Serve as the primary compliance resource for executive leadership and operational departments Develop and conduct employee training programs related to compliance procedures, METRC, ERP systems, inventory controls, and regulatory updates Prepare compliance reports, audit findings, corrective action plans, and risk assessments for executive leadership Qualifications & Requirements Required Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of compliance, regulatory, or operational experience within the cannabis industry Advanced working knowledge of OMMA regulations, METRC, cannabis manufacturing compliance, and state reporting systems Experience working within cultivation, extraction, distribution, or dispensary environments Experience conducting audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective action planning Strong analytical, organizational, mathematical, and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements to daily operations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment Proficiency with Microsoft Office, METRC, ERP systems, and compliance tracking software Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment Must possess or be able to obtain an active OMMA Employee Credential Work Environment & Physical Requirements Full-time, in-person position based in Stilwell, Oklahoma Monday through Friday schedule with occasional after-hours availability as needed Ability to work in cultivation, manufacturing, extraction, warehouse, and laboratory environments Must be able to stand, walk facility floors, conduct inventory audits, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain professionalism in a highly regulated environment
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
