No Position Purpose The Academic Records and Compliance Manager supports compliance work related to enrollment reporting, student records, and military education benefits. The position coordinates required reporting of student enrollment and degree completion to external entities, including the National Student Clearinghouse, and serves as the School Certifying Official for VA and other military education benefits. The Manager also reviews student record data, resolves reporting errors, supports internal audits of submitted data, and helps document processes that support accurate and consistent reporting. In addition, the position provides operational support to the Institutional Registrar's Office by maintaining registrar resources, policy materials, training materials, and process documentation. Description Required Qualifications•Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors plus 6 or more years' experience or combination of education and experience Required Qualifications•Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Three years of experience with data management in a higher education environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and demonstrated aptitude for learning new software systems. Ability to analyze data, identify errors or inconsistencies, and support accurate recordkeeping and reporting. Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret and apply rules, procedures, policies, and compliance requirements. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent experience Experience working in a Registrar's Office or comparable student records environment. Experience with National Student Clearinghouse and/or NSLDS reporting. Experience supporting VA or other military education benefits. Leads the development and ongoing management of an institution-wide reporting calendar for all branches, incorporating submission dates, audit checkpoints, escalation timelines, follow-up actions, and related compliance deadlines. Interprets applicable reporting requirements, institutional policies, and data standards to guide accurate and timely enrollment and degree verification reporting across schools and branches. Identifies, investigates, corrects, and documents data errors, submission issues, and process gaps that affect enrollment reporting. Partners with school-based registrar teams and campus stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, process enrollment verification requests, and support consistent reporting practices. Designs, maintains, and evaluates data quality controls, audits, reconciliations, and documentation practices; recommends and implements process improvements to strengthen compliance, reduce errors, and improve operational efficiency. Percentage Of Time 50 Description Military Benefits Support and VA Compliance•Serves as a School Certifying Official for VA and other military education benefits. Coordinates enrollment reporting, certification activities, and compliance follow-up with school-based registrar teams and institutional partners. Produces, reviews, and maintains required documentation and compliance records for VA benefit certification. Monitors enrollment changes that may affect military education benefits and coordinates timely reporting or corrective action. Participates in Dartmouth, VA, and external trainings or meetings to remain current on regulations and practices; serves as a resource to internal stakeholders. Percentage Of Time 20 Description Operational Support, Policy Coordination, and Process Documentation•Maintains and updates internal and external Institutional Registrar resources, including web content, guidance materials, forms, and process documentation. Documents business processes and identifies opportunities for alignment across schools, particularly in areas affecting compliance, reporting, student records, and registrar workflows. Coordinates updates to institutional policies assigned to the Institutional Registrar's Office, supporting accuracy, consistency, and timely implementation. Assists with the development and maintenance of training materials, onboarding guides, standard operating procedures, and internal knowledge resources. Leads assigned cross-departmental projects affecting registrar operations, including policy reviews, reporting improvements, compliance initiatives, and process redesign; coordinates timelines, deliverables, stakeholder communication, and implementation support. Provides operational support during peak processing periods or high-volume reporting cycles; collaborates with registrar teams, administrative offices, and technical partners to support consistent processes.
