12 months Role Overview The ADA Compliance Expert will be responsible for ensuring that all organizational documentation, digital content, and communication materials meet the standards set forth. This role requires expertise in accessibility compliance, document remediation, and inclusive design practices.
Key Responsibilities Document Conversion:
Convert existing documentation (PDFs, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) into ADA-compliant formats, ensuring accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
Accessibility Audits:
Review and audit organizational documents, websites, and digital content for compliance with ADA and WCAG standards. Required Experience & Skills Proven experience in converting regular documentation into ADA-compliant formats. Strong knowledge of ADA, Section 508, and
WCAG 2.1
guidelines. Proficiency with accessibility tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Pro for remediation, screen readers like
JAWS/NVDA
). Experience in document structuring (headings, lists, tables, hyperlinks) for accessibility. Ability to conduct accessibility testing and provide actionable recommendations.
