The normal work schedule will be 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Following successful completion of the probationary period and with approval from the Associate Vice President/Chief IDEA officer, the individual hired will be eligible to work one remote day per week (8 hours). The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation. The first-level interviews with the screening and interview committee will be conducted via Zoom. The second-level interviews will be conducted in person.
REMOTE WORK
MiraCosta College supports flexible work arrangements to promote work-life balance. Eligible positions may offer telework (remote work) options based on operational needs and policy guidelines. Telework is not guaranteed, and probationary or temporary employees require vice president approval. Full-time telework is not permitted; all employees are expected to maintain regular weekly on-campus presence.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two hundred (200) road miles from the employee's regularly assigned district worksite. The District may consider an individual's request to temporarily reside outside the State of California or beyond the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, provided it does not exceed 12 consecutive months. Under general direction, plan, coordinate and provide operational oversight for the institution's digital and information technology accessibility programs; provides districtwide leadership in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of digital accessibility policies procedures, and technical standards. This role is responsible for leading efforts to ensure institutional compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and technical standards related to accessibility, including Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG); guide and collaborate with departments, faculty, and staff to integrate accessibility and usability into digital products, services, resources, and the overall educational environment; lead the Accessibility Workgroup and institutional strategic planning for the college in consultation with an administrator; serve as a primary subject matter expert for institutional accessibility and lead initiatives to foster an inclusive digital environment for all users, including individuals with disabilities.
Compensation:
Starting at $112,166 per year (range 36, step 1), with annual salary step increases up to step 5.
