Description:
Waukesha local Top Workplace looking for a dedicated Quality professional to join our team as Quality & Compliance Manager! Role will be responsible for the entire Quality Management & Compliance Systems to support critical company growth. Role will develop & maintain the quality systems/processes, drive continuous improvement, and manage critical compliance requirements while serving & developing a high impact team. Position Responsible For:
Leading & developing quality control/inspection and quality engineering team
Proactive Quality Planning and Assurance:
Entire QMS Development and application of APQP, PPAP, and ISO standards & compliance Manage, maintain QOP's, and DWI's Leading/manage dimensional inspection/processes, calibration systems Monitor, assess, install quality processes as needed for incoming, current, and post production processes Proactive communication with manufacturing, operations/sales leaders, customers and suppliers Lead and direct priorities for quality/inspection team, identifying areas of team development, training, or performance improvements as needed Ensuring identified areas of non-conformance, quality concerns, or required corrective actions are processed timely; assist or lead independently portions of in Corrective Action, ECN, RMA, PPAP processes Assist hands on as needed tactically to support the team in preparing/completing inspection documents Ensure calibration systems are current and regularly maintained Lead the administration of the Company Continuous Improvement program, assist in completing continuous improvement initiatives Active development, installation, and ongoing assessments of the company safety program Identify training needs in the areas of quality processes, internal procedures, and safety across the company; ensure training is developed, available, and delivered as needed Accountable for leading team through Federal Contracting Review & Compliance including (ITAR/DFARS) & managing customer/vendor compliance requirements Assist in CMMC Project & Program Oversight •Every year here WMP we evaluate and work improve the benefits we can offer our people. Required & Preferred Qualifications:
3 or more years experience in a Quality Management role, preferably in a precision metals manufacturing environment. Quality or other Engineering degree preferred, but not necessarily required. Should have strong foundational blueprint reading abilities with working knowledge of GD&T principles Some technical abilities skill in use/application of standard bench & hand measurement equipment (CMM, visual systems, mics, calipers, height stand, gages etc.) Willing to be a part of leading and working hands on, alongside quality team day to day as needed to support business operations/quality processes Strong problem solving & analytical mindset Practical & working knowledge of compliance related to
ITAR & DFARS
Prior exposure to work CMMC strongly preferred but not necessarily required. Will be required to learn controls to assist with organizational compliance Must be an independent, conscientious worker - detail orientated, with strong follow through on projects Comfortable communicating information proactively and effectively across the organization Able to work in a full-time, in office setting (some remote flexibility available as needed) Able to sit or stand for up to 8 hours, and walk between departments as needed
