This role supports both property-level compliance and team coaching, ensuring consistent application of program requirements across the board. The Director of Compliance will take ownership, communicate clearly at all levels, and guide teams through complex regulatory environments. Responsibilities Supervise, mentor and support a team of Compliance Specialists Perform second-level reviews of files for LIHTC, PBV, HOME, and other program types as needed Responsible for accurate and timely submission of TRACS, NSPIRE, EMPHASYS and other state agencies Ensure compliance with LIHTC, PBV, HUD, and Fair Housing regulations Partner with property managers to troubleshoot challenging compliance cases Conduct regular property inspections and site visits Assist with HUD Rent Increase paperwork, including UA baselines Provide technical guidance on student rules, income calculations, layered programs and special circumstances Support team members in meeting deadlines and audit readiness, including managing audit prep with travel to sites ahead of agency or investor audits Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications 5+ years of direct experience in affordable housing compliance, including file review and approval Ability to travel to sites up to 75% of the time as needed Prior experience in a lead or mentorship role preferred Strong working knowledge of LIHTC, PBV, HOME and/or Bond programs Strong communication, organization and team-building skills Certification such as HCCP, COS or equivalent, highly preferred Familiarity with audit preparation and layered compliance scenarios Proficiency in OneSite is a plus We know choosing the right job matters.
