Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance 4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 1201 Wesleyan St, Fort Worth, TX 76105 Posting Details Position Information Job Title Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance Position Summary The Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance is responsible for interpreting and monitoring compliance with all NCAA and XXX Conference rules and regulations while serving as a liaison between the Athletic Department and other institutional departments and offices. This position reports directly to the Director of Athletics. This position serve as a member of the Director of Athletics' leadership team and is involved in discussion and decisions related to personnel, budget and long-term planning for the department.
The candidate must:
Have a strong focus on student-athlete academic success. Attend NCAA Convention and Regional Rules seminars as well as required Conference meetings Supervise game day operations for assigned sports. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversees department compliance with all relevant rules and regulations. (90%) Specific responsibilities include: Works in conjunction with the Office of the Registrar on the certification of eligibility of all student-athletes in accordance with NCAA regulations. Assists designated personnel in the Office of Financial Aid in processing athletic financial aid awards and the Athletic Financial Aid summary report. Coordinates all NCAA appeals. Oversees rules education and interpretations for coaches, staff, and student athletes. Oversees NCAA compliance reporting. Reviews coaches' declaration of playing season. Audits athletic recruiting and Countable Athletically Related Activities (CARA) logs. Serves as the primary departmental liaison with University departments such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar and Academic Support. Serves as the primary departmental liaison with the NCAA Initial Eligibility Center. Contributes to the Athletics Compliance Committee. Works with the Director of Athletics and FAR on investigating, preparing, and submitting reports of possible secondary and major rule violations Administers all required student-athlete forms through Teamworks software Education, Certifications and/or Licenses Bachelor's degree required Valid Texas driver's license required. Experience Experience with compliance in a collegiate athletic department 3-5 years of experience with NCAA rules and regulations Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics. Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing intercollegiate athletics at the conference and national level. Knowledge of budget development and management principles. Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices. Skill in the delegation of responsibility and authority. Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs. Skill in decision making and problem solving. Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public. Skill in oral and written communication.
