DescriptionInterested in working on an innovative and high-impact business that is changing the way customers think about grocery? Amazon is looking for a self-directed, results-oriented Compliance Manager with proven project management experience, strong attention to detail, and strong communication skills. As a Compliance Manager, you will focus on building a best-in-class customer experience for shoppers on Amazon and streamlined processes to enable the business to run more smoothly and in compliance with local regulations. The Compliance Manager will work cross-functionally to drive programs related to the alcohol category in an effort to improve the customer experience and grow the business. The successful candidate is be able to work independently, learn quickly and easily adapt to change, be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced environment, and communicate with and be able to influence employees at all levels of the organization. Key job responsibilities
  • Understand the business and customer landscape at a local level and recommend and drive change to grow the business
  • Understand our operational capabilities and work with partner teams to prioritize and implement needed improvements
  • Identify and prioritize competitive gaps, and recommend responses
  • Develop and maintain the roadmap of critical features required to improve customer experience and grow the alcohol business while maintaining regulatory compliance A day in the life A day in the life for this role typically involves a mixture of planned, risk management activities related to compliance programs as well as unexpected, urgent activities required to mitigate immediate business risk.
Typically both of these will require working with stakeholders in the legal, business, tech, and operations teams to ensure compliance with the processes in place to ensure regulatory adherence for Alcohol whether this be working on tech requests required to deliver long term solutions for compliance needs or diving deep into compliance health metrics in order to identify root causes and implement immediate solutions. About the team This team is a highly collaborative group of category managers and risk managers that collaborate across three offices (Arlington, Seattle, and NYC). We problem solve together and individually (often with weekly brainstorming sessions and open forums where we ideate on solutions), identify and implement scalable solutions for root causes, and above all obsess over our customer and potential customers. We celebrate one another's successes and support each other through headwinds as we work towards our shared goal of growing and improving the Alcohol customer experience.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
  • Experience handling confidential information
  • Experience with SQL and Excel
  • Experience in program or project managementPreferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
