The opportunity Reporting to the Patent & Advanced Mechanics Manager, this role takes a leadership role in protecting and defending the company's intellectual property. The Patent Litigation & Regulatory Compliance Manager will lead patent litigation and patent prosecution efforts, conduct patent searches, evaluate infringement matters, and support patent applications with the U.S. Patent Office. After on-the-job training, this role will also participate in industry standards work and serve as a practical resource for regulatory interpretation for Product and R D teams. Translate regulatory standards into practical guidance for Product and R D teams. What will set you up for success Juris Doctor required. Technical undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related field required. Active admission to at least one State Bar required; Wisconsin Bar admission preferred. Qualified to practice as a Patent Attorney before the USPTO. At least two years of patent litigation experience. Experience leading patent litigation matters, including Inter Partes Review and other USPTO proceedings, from filing through resolution. Ability to read, understand, and interpret patents and patent applications. Regulatory compliance experience and the ability to interpret ambiguous regulatory standards are a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well across diverse teams and stakeholder groups. Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
