This position reports to:
Trade Compliance Manager __ The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite Your role and responsibilities: The Import/Export Specialist ensures that the local businesses conduct all activities in line with ABB Trade Compliance policies and guidelines, as well as assist with the local implementation of ABB's Global Trade Program. Key focus is the oversight of import and export operational functions and supervise forwarders' performances to these policies and guidelines. Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business with 5+ years of experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. Working knowledge of USHTS classifications, EAR, export controls, and customs regulations, with a clear understanding of U.S. import processes. Self-driven, detail-oriented team player who works effectively in cross-functional environments, with a strong sense of ownership, responsiveness, and ability to quickly learn technical products and processes.Preferred Experience Includes:
Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Export Specialist (CES)- Highly efficient in SAP or similar ERP systems, supporting trade compliance and import/export operations
- (Bilingual English/Spanish) Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
