Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a Payments Business Analyst / Payments Subject Matter Expert ( SME ) to support a critical payment modernization and Fedwire compliance initiative. This individual will serve as the team's payments expert, providing guidance on high-value payment processing, payment operations, and
ISO 20022
standards while helping validate business and technical requirements across the program. This is a highly consultative role that will work closely with business stakeholders, product leaders, and technical teams to ensure upcoming payment enhancements and compliance initiatives are properly understood, analyzed, and tested. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in payment hubs and high-value payment systems and will act as a trusted advisor throughout implementation efforts. Responsibilities
  • Serve as the payments SME for Fedwire, SWIFT , ISO 20022, and payment operations initiatives.
  • Analyze payment specifications, technical documentation, and solution designs to validate alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and confirm proposed functionality against current-state payment processes and operational workflows.
  • Support testing efforts, including test strategy validation, test case review, defect analysis, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements, answer questions, and provide subject matter expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate alignment between business, operations, and technology teams on payment-related initiatives.
  • Evaluate upcoming changes and enhancements to determine operational and business impacts.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance regarding payment processing standards, message formats, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong experience within the payments domain, with a focus on high-value payment processing and payment operations.
  • Hands-on experience supporting payment hubs, preferably EPP (Fiserv Payment Hub).
  • Deep understanding of Fedwire, SWIFT , and
ISO 20022
payment standards and messaging frameworks.
  • Experience working with high-value payment systems and related operational processes.
  • Ability to support regulatory and compliance-driven payment initiatives, including Fedwire compliance and
ISO 20022
modernization efforts.
  • Familiarity with payment processing platforms, payment hubs, and payment operations workflows.
