Role:
We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Compliance Specialist to join our team in the San Diego, CA ! This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in PBS8, Tax Credit (LIHTC) , who wants to make a real difference in maintaining the integrity and compliance of our communities. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance standards are met across our properties, creating a positive impact for residents and stakeholders alike. This role will require you to be on-site working at various properties throughout our portfolio.

What You'll Do:
Supervise, mentor, and support a team of Compliance Specialists Oversee completion of files to ensure they are compliant with applicable Affordable Programs including Move-Ins, Annual Recertification, Interim Recertification, Gross Rent Changes, Terminations, Initial Certifications. Review files to ensure they are compliant with applicable Affordable Programs. Complete Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) tasks, including running reports and working discrepancies. Ensure income/rent limits and utility allowances are accurate on each certification. Ensure calculated tenant rent and subsidies are accurate. Monitor status of all certifications. Monitor portfolio compliance with state, federal, local agency requirements for Affordable programs. Identify and work through potential compliance issues, working with all peers. Perform site file reviews for property audit preparation. Attend state and national compliance training courses, as directed. Assist in compiling/preparing data to ensure all annual/quarterly agency audits/reports are completed timely. Work with the site teams to ensure the HUD Voucher is submitted timely. Participate and assist with the updates to income/rent limits and updates to Utility allowances to ensure compliance is maintained per affordable housing requirements. Communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing and provide customer assistance and answer questions on compliance issues. Work as an effective member of a team and in a collaborative manner with staff, peers, and supervisors. Other duties, as assigned and/or as necessary.
What We're Looking For:
Bilingual preferred Minimum 3 years of property management experience with over 500+ units properties. Minimum of 3 years of compliance experience with Project-Based Section 8 and LIHTC. Experience utilizing Microsoft Office required, Yardi experience highly desirable. A natural team player with strong attention to detail, and communication. Proactive problem-solving individual who is dedicated to ensuring compliance are upheld to the highest standards.
