JOB SUMMARY
The Project Compliance Coordinator supports project accounting and compliance activities throughout the project lifecycle by ensuring all required subcontractor documentation is collected, reviewed, and processed accurately and on time. This role serves as the primary liaison between subcontractors, project managers, and the accounting team to resolve compliance issues, maintain organized project records, and expedite payment processing. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of project accounting principles, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
SALARY RANGE
$35.00/hour - $42.00/hour
BENEFITS
Group medical, vision, and dental insurance, including a choice of two benefit plans - a PPO plan and a High Deductible/ Health Savings Account plan with company contribution to HSA. Company-paid short and long-term disability plans, group life insurance, and AD&D plans. Vacation accrued on a weekly basis at a full-time annualized equivalent rate of 15 days (3 work weeks) per year. Sick leave accrued at 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with an annual carryover of 80 hours. 10 paid holidays each year. Paid parental leave. Annual discretionary bonus based on company profitability and your manager's assessment of your performance. A 401(k) savings plan under which BNB matches the first 3 percent of your deferral with a 100% match and the next two percent with a 50% match for a total matching contribution of 4% of your pay. You are immediately 100% vested in all contributions (including BNB match). We provide both traditional (pre-tax) and Roth (post-tax) contribution options. We are proud to be an employee-owned company. This means you get an ownership stake in BNB through a benefit called an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). It's 100% company-funded and is invested in BNBuilders stock. You can participate in this long-term plan after you complete 1 year of service (with at least 1,000 hours).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support project accounting compliance functions throughout the project lifecycle. Track, collect, and process accounting compliance documentation from subcontractors. Drive compliance items to completion on an accelerated timeline to speed up payment processing. Serve as the primary point of contact between subcontractors, project managers, and the project accounting team. Identify and resolve accounting compliance documentation and processing issues. Maintain organized project accounting records and ensure documentation is complete and accurate. Communicate regularly with internal teams regarding compliance status and outstanding items. Assist with administrative functions that support project execution and financial reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. Approximately 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry. Understanding of project accounting principles. Construction industry experience is strongly preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with subcontractors and project teams. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
