Job Description
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST
GENERAL SUMMARY The Regulatory Compliance Specialist reports directly to the Regulatory Compliance Manager and will ensure Federal Regulations of Title 31 and the Bank Secrecy Act is enforced. The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will maintain compliance regulations according to current policy and procedure.FOUR DIAMOND SERVICE AGREEMENT
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to guest service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review daily MTLs for all reporting areas to ensure proper completion.
- Perform audit of MTL/MILs to ensure all entries are entered and correct from the gaming floor and compliance audit.
- Generate exception reports for non-compliance with applicable Title 31 Regulation policies and procedures.
- Assist guests in all requests for form W2-G, 1099s and 1042s.
- Verify W2-G completion is accurate for guest record and annual filing.
- Follow up on exception reports to ensure corrective action has been taken.
- Generate CTRC forms.
- Assist all departments with issues or questions regarding the Title 31 regulations and completion of federal gaming forms.
- Perform duties in accordance with Pechanga Gaming Commission Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).
- Monitor the proper operation of systems, processes, and tools related to your assigned tasks and report problems and shortcomings timely to your supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC. ________________________________________QUALIFICATIONS AND GUIDELINES
________________________________________EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field strongly preferred. Minimum of four (4) years' experience with Title 31 compliance required; gaming, casino, hospitality industry preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos as well as the ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate and present product information to guests.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITY
Ability to common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to work with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class "A" gaming license. SKILLS
- working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word daily.
- working knowledge of AS400 and Windows environments daily.
- working knowledge of Bally, EVERI , CDS and PolicyIQ or similar software daily.
- HMS, Simphony, Bally SDS, and CMP system.
- Knowledge of Pechanga Resort Casino Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to be a team player; assist with any staffing shortages.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse, fast-paced environment, and be open to change.
- Ability to receive constructive criticism and direction while remaining professional.
- Must be a positive role model who is highly motivated, resourceful, and possesses a strong work ethic.
- Must be highly organized and provide attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
