Amentum is seeking a Special Security Technician for a

USSPACECOM

program in Colorado Springs, CO

Duties:

Assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) to ensure control of access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCI Facilities (SCIFs); certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances / accesses; conducts SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, training on classified material / SSO-related material and topics; obtains signed nondisclosure agreements; and provides guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, Government and contractor personnel. Serves as a Controlled Access Program (CAP) security specialist for lifecycle program protection management for USSPACECOM and implements protocols to actively reduce the chances for espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure or compromise of information or material considered vital to command mission interests, national defense, or national security. Develops, implements, and integrates CAP program protection requirements supporting

essential program information, operations, technologies, and systems. As the CAP / Special Access Program (SAP) / Special Access Required (SAR) subject matter expert, provides detailed knowledge of DoD, IC, services, and mission partners' CAP / SAP / SAR policies, plans, and procedures. Recommends and executes "cradle to grave" security and program protection as it relates to

operations and equities. Trains and manages the daily development of associated personnel on individual

program protection requirements and processes as directed. Provides all

security operations, analysis decisions, and recommendations in appropriate formats to meet DoD and

requirements. Other duties may include but are not limited to: audits of classified material, inspections of classified material storage facilities / SCIFs / containers, and researching and preparing classified material-related policy and management recommendations, reports, and recommendations.

Requirements:

Must possess a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph. Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience and at least eight years of relevant experience.

Compensation Details:

$110,000-$135,000 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
