This role is responsible for verifying enrollment and eligibility status through MARx (Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug) checks, maintaining accurate policy and commission records, and ensuring our agency stays compliant with CMS marketing, enrollment, and documentation rules. This is a back-office, detail-heavy role critical to keeping our book of business clean and audit-ready. Key Responsibilities Log into and navigate agent/broker portals across multiple Medicare Advantage and Part D carriers (e.g., UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Aetna, Cigna, WellCare, and others as applicable) Perform routine MARx eligibility and enrollment status checks to confirm effective dates, enrollment status, LIS/subsidy status, and disenrollment or plan-change activity Cross-reference carrier portal data against internal CRM/agency records and flag discrepancies Update policy statuses (active, pending, terminated, disenrolled, etc.) across internal systems in a timely and accurate manner Monitor for and process Special Enrollment Period (SEP) and Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) activity, plan changes, and retroactive terminations Track and reconcile commission and book-of-business reports from carriers against internal records Maintain compliance with CMS Medicare Marketing and Communications Guidelines , including scope of appointment (SOA), enrollment application, and retention documentation requirements Identify and escalate compliance concerns (e.g., missing SOAs, enrollment discrepancies, potential rule violations) to management Maintain organized, audit-ready records of all portal activity and status changes Assist agents with portal access issues, application status inquiries, and enrollment troubleshooting Stay current on CMS rule changes, carrier portal updates, and annual guideline revisions Required Qualifications Prior experience working with Medicare Advantage and/or Part D carrier agent portals (multiple carriers preferred) Working knowledge of CMS MARx system or similar eligibility/enrollment verification tools Solid understanding of CMS Medicare compliance requirements (marketing guidelines, SOA rules, enrollment periods, retention requirements) Experience with policy/status tracking in a CRM or agency management system Strong attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, high-volume data verification work Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple carrier systems simultaneously Strong written communication skills for internal reporting and escalation Preferred Qualifications Previous experience at a Medicare-focused FMO, agency, or brokerage Active health/life insurance license (not required, but a plus) Familiarity with
