34 Technical work responding to and investigating residential locations to determine compliance with City Ordinance standards. This position works day shift. Days off are assigned on a four-month rotational basis. Field Training may last up to nine (9) months. Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City. This position is considered an "Essential Position" for the purpose of Emergency Management. Emergency duties will be assigned as needed. This position requires 24 hours a day, 7 days per week availability during City of Port St Lucie emergencies, as determined by City Administrators, Emergency Manager or City Officials. - Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma required.
Two (2) years of public service, customer service, or a combination of required. Florida Association of Code Enforcement (FACE) certification required to be obtained within eighteen (18) months from date of hire. Possession of valid driver's license and maintenance of clean driving record required with the ability to obtain a valid Florida driver's license within 30 days from date of hire. - Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma required.
A minimum of two (2) years of public service, customer service, or a combination of experience required. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in relative field or four (4) to eight (8) years of experience in a relative field is preferred.
