Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL -A) and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record MVR. About Your Role The Territory Compliance Specialist supports regional operations by ensuring dispatch teams have the tools, information, and coordination needed to operate compliant, efficient transportation activities. This role focuses primarily on equipment readiness, maintenance coordination between Logistics and Customer Experience and Fulfillment, utilization tracking, and other DOT support while serving as a backup dispatcher when needed. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Assist with other duties as assigned. Fleet Maintenance Coordination & Equipment Readiness Partner with Dispatch to ensure equipment availability aligns with daily and forecasted load demand Coordinate preventive maintenance scheduling with fleet and dispatch to minimize operational disruption Monitor equipment status, downtime, and maintenance timelines within assigned territory Escalate maintenance risks that may impact service delivery or compliance Support tracking of inspections, registration, and required equipment documentation Communicate with internal mechanics and/or third-party vendors to coordinate repairs and maintenance to keep fleet operationally safe and compliant Order parts from vendors, as needed DOT Compliance & HOS Support Owning the monitoring Hours of Service (HOS) and ELD compliance for assigned drivers, communicating with Dispatch team Owning this documentation, follow-up, and correction of routine compliance items with the Dispatcher in agreement Reinforce established DOT processes and escalate complex issues to the Fleet Systems & Compliance Specialist Help prepare information for audits, reviews, and compliance reporting Serve as a regional resource for day-to-day DOT questions without owning training programs Truck Utilization & Capacity Management Calculate and report truck utilization metrics for the territory Identify opportunities to improve asset usage and reduce outside carrier reliance Partner with Dispatch to prioritize internal fleet usage before securing third-party carriers Monitor capacity gaps, seasonal demand patterns, and equipment constraints Provide recommendations to improve routing efficiency and fleet productivity Systems & Operational Support Support dispatch use of Fleet Logistics and compliance systems (ELD, maintenance, ERP, telematics) Help ensure data accuracy related to equipment status, availability, and utilization Identify system gaps or process breakdowns and communication improvement opportunities Provide regional execution support to initiatives led by the Fleet Director Prior to any maintenance or parts requests, POs must be created before work is to be done Coordinate with third party haulers for repairs and maintenance to ensure compliance of company-owned assets Decision making when it comes to maintenance. Stay within budget for the fleet. That lends towards independent judgment especially when it is less than $3K for threshold. Manage the maintenance and what happens under that.
