We've built a sophisticated in-house technology stack, we operate at real scale, and we're small enough that the person in this seat will have direct exposure to leadership from day one. If you want to build something rather than maintain something, this is the environment for that. ________________________________________________________________________ About the Role The Claims/Compliance Administrator supports Archer's compliance function day-to-day, reporting directly to the Director of Compliance. This role owns the routine execution of carrier vetting and claims intake — the work that keeps Archer's carrier network safe, compliant, and audit-ready. It is not a sales or brokerage role. It is a detail-driven, process-driven seat for someone who takes pride in getting things right. This role is required to work in the office 5 days a week. ________________________________________________________________________ What You'll Do
- Run carrier vetting checks across FMCSA, Highway, Carrier411, and other platforms
- Verify carrier insurance coverage and flag anomalies or gaps
- Intake and coordinate cargo claims, including gathering documentation and communicating with shippers and carriers
- Escalate high-risk situations appropriately, with organized facts and a recommendation
- Keep audit-ready documentation across every carrier file and claim
- Support the Director of Compliance on projects, process improvements, and cross-department coordination ________________________________________________________________________ What We're Looking For
- Someone who is detailed and organized
- Comfortable with repetitive, deadline-driven work and staying accurate at volume
- Able to work independently after training, without needing constant direction
- Clear, concise written communicator
- Sound judgment under pressure — knows when to decide and when to escalate
- Quick to learn new software tools
- Curious about the freight industry and interested in growing with the compliance function ________________________________________________________________________ Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general business software
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Able to commute daily to our Darien, IL office (100% in-office, five days a week) ________________________________________________________________________ Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- 401(k) with company match
- Direct mentorship from experienced leadership
- Real growth path as the compliance function expands
