From $50,000.00 per year Job description: Overview The Move-In-Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of the admissions and move in process for prospective residents in a Supportive Living community. This role ensures a smooth, compliant, and positive experience for residents, families, and referral partners from initial inquiry through successful move-in. The Move-In-Coordinator works closely with Nursing, Business Office, and the Executive Director to maintain regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and timely communication at every stage. Duties Assist in the preparation of financial reports and enter admissions, discharges, and updates into required systems (YARDI, MEDI, ASSESSMENT
PRO/MAXIMUS
) Serve as the secondary contact for all new inquiries and tours Maintain knowledge of SLP, HFS, DHS, and IHDA compliance Ensure accuracy and completeness of admission paperwork, including: background checks, maximus/assessment pro, Medicaid documents (if applicable), and Move in checklist Ensure all denials and approvals follow policy and are communicated promptly to the ED, DON, and DCR Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide insights. Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Assist the Executive Director with compliance documentation during surveys and audits Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, healthcare professionals and the general public
MEDICAID
background and experience preferred. Experience High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Previous experience in Supportive LIving, Assisted Living, LTC, or Healthcare Admissions strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, customer service, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards is advantageous.
