GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to license all companies that conduct business in the Lexington area and to ensure regulation compliance and the payment of taxes
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED equivalent Two (2) years of experience in a field related to the job Additional years of related education may substitute for years of related experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Researches and locates new companies that conduct business in the area to ensure the compliance of license requirements Maintains and ensured compliance of regulated licenses including, but not limited to Recovery Residences, Short-Term Rentals, Itinerant Merchants, Precious Metal Dealers, Alarm System Business and Medicinal Cannabis Businesses Serves as a Sworn Citation Officer of the Division of Revenue and issues civil penalties for failure to comply with Ordinances Monitors collection of payments Provides customer service through email, phone and in person communications Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Must have valid driver's license
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
All positions require drug testing, background investigation, polygraph and a post-job offer physical exam as stated in Ordinances 21-14(b), 22-13 and 23-16 HOW
