Job Description
Compliance Specialist Job Description As a Compliance Specialist, you will coordinate and support external client audits by gathering and organizing requested documentation and participating in audit discussions. You will manage and review client exception reports, ensuring issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. Additionally, you will respond to ad hoc client requests related to compliance and reporting. Responsibilities Conduct internal audits and compliance testing to ensure processes are being followed. Identify areas for improvement and help strengthen internal audit and testing processes. Monitor call recording and voice-to-text reports to ensure compliance standards are met. Track and ensure completion of required employee training. Maintain and update internal policies and procedures as needed. Collaborate with teams across the organization to support compliance initiatives and address client concerns. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience in a compliance, audit, banking, or accounts receivable environment. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with both internal teams and external clients. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Ability to use sound judgment and handle sensitive information with discretion. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered. General understanding of systems and technology used to support reporting and compliance processes. Experience in banking or accounts receivable is a plus. Work Environment This role requires you to work 5 days in the office, with hours from 8am-5pm Monday through Thursday, and 8am-4pm on Friday. You will be reporting directly to the compliance manager. The company operates primarily in B to C collections, focusing on credit card collections. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $36.06/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
